Welcome to the site of
Kendriya Vidyalaya
Sangathan Chennai Region which came into existence during 1970. At
present there are 64 KVs spread across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Pondicherry and UT of
Lakshadweep. Out of 64 KVs, 2 KVs are functioning in 2 shifts
i.e. KV Adoor and KV Pattom. KVS Chennai Team is comprising of
around 3307 teaching and non-teaching staff and about 80,424 students in the KVs
of this Region. Sri.
S Vijayakumar has taken over the charge of Assistant Commissioner, KVS Chennai
Region during August, 2009. KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SANGATHAN - a premier organization in India administering 981 schools known as "Kendriya Vidyalayas" with 10,33,516 students as on 30.09.2009 and 49,611 employees (including outsoursed) on rolls as on 01.02.2010. Since inception in 1965, the Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central Schools) have come to be known as centres of excellence in the field of secondary and senior secondary education promoting national integration and a sense of " Indianness" among the children while ensuring their total personality development and academic excellence... |
